Decorating kids’ bathroom is sure different from decorating any other room in your home. While any other room in your home may have a refined and sophisticated decorating scheme, kids’ bathroom is a place for more creative or playful themes. Moreover, kids tend to start and end their day in the bathroom, so make it a place that your kids will start and end their day with a smile. Kids’ bathroom should also be functional and it should be easy for your kids to keep it tidy.

Among the themes that you can choose from is a beach-themed bathroom. Go Caribbean style, paint the walls with lime green, mango orange or sunshine yellow, and paint the ceiling a brilliant sky blue. Use a shower curtain printed with shells, waves, sea horses or surfboards. Add starfish, coral, shells, river rocks and driftwood on a floating shelf or open cabinet.

You can choose a jungle-themed bathroom. In a jungle-themed bathroom, use colors like dark brown, deep green, spring green, mango orange, persimmon or red. Accessorize the bathroom with leafy green plants, bamboo stalks, sisal mats and vines. Choose bath linens in sage green, off white or deep brown.

Another theme that you can choose is a bubble-themed bathroom. Paint your bathroom walls a crisp, blue-based white, icy pink or periwinkle to work as a backdrop for bubble patterns. Put circular wall decals in different sizes and place them in an asymmetrical arrangement across the wall and bathroom ceiling, to give the look of floating bubbles. Choose a rounded sink, tub, soap dispenser, toothbrush holder or soap dish to enhance your bubbly theme.

If the bath or shower enclosure is glass enclosed, you can jazz it up by using with vinyl window decals in fun designs. But be sure use ones that adheres by static cling instead of adhesive as not to ruin the glass when you try to it take off when your child outgrows the pattern. You can also use window decals that your child has made it himself as kids love creativity and love taking part in decorating their bathroom.
